Extern Therapist

Chinwe (she, her, hers) is a practicum extern providing services at COAP under the supervision of Ginny Fullerton, Ph.D. Chinwe received her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience at Tulane University and is currently in her fourth year in the School Psychology doctoral program at The University of Texas at Austin. Following her undergraduate training, Chinwe completed her Master of Science in Behavioral Health at Tulane University. After completing her master’s degree, Chinwe worked in the New Orleans charter school system as a behavior specialist, where she provided supportive interventions to students and their families and crisis intervention through data collection and summarization to improve interventions consistently. Chinwe’s graduate training focuses on disseminating and implementing evidence-based treatments for underserved youth, adolescents, and transitioning adults in school and community settings. At UT-Austin, she has gained expertise in parent-child interaction therapy, parent training for disruptive behavior disorders & anxiety, conducting forensic & psychoeducational evaluations, and consultation. Chinwe has worked in various educational, medical, and forensic settings and is passionate about expanding adolescent and transitioning adults’ access to mental health services. She is interested in modifying and adapting evidence-based treatments to serve children and their families best and is excited to join the COAP team!
