Emma Siegel, M.A. is an advanced practicum intern supervised by Ginny Fullerton, Ph.D. Emma received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The University of California at Santa Cruz and her Master of Arts from The University of Texas at Austin. Following her undergraduate training, Emma worked as a Research Assessor at the VA San Diego Healthcare System, where she assisted in the administration of three clinical research studies investigating treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Substance Use Disorder. Emma is currently in her third year of the clinical psychology doctoral program at The University of Texas at Austin. During her graduate training, Emma has gained specific expertise treating PTSD, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), social anxiety, generalized anxiety, and depression, including intensive cases. Specifically, Emma implements evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (E/RP), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) in her work. She also has previously worked with children and their caregivers in a variety of settings and has collaborated with other providers when psychological services are utilized to address complex problems. Emma understands the importance of adapting and applying evidence-based practice to meet an individual’s and family’s needs.
