Biography
Sarah Koenig, PhD (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Psychologist with MA and PhD degrees in School Psychology from the University of Texas, where she completed research and clinical training under Dr. Kevin Stark at the Texas Child Study Center. After an internship at Columbia University Medical Center, New York Presbyterian Hospital, she returned to Austin to complete a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Texas Child Study Center and Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin. Treating OCD, anxiety, and associated problems with CBT approaches across mental health, medical, and educational settings, she gained experience collaborating with other disciplines and systems. Committed to providing evidence-based services to families, Dr. Koenig is certified as a therapist and Level I Trainer in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and is trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). When indicated, she incorporates her training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to establish comprehensive treatment plans.
