Psychology Extern

Ying Yang is a third-year Ph.D. student in the combined School and Clinical Child Psychology program at The University of Texas at Austin. Through her clinical work and research, Ying has gained extensive experience supporting children and adolescents from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as those with varied neurodevelopmental profiles. During her practicum training with the Round Rock Independent School District, she advanced her competency in advocating for and supporting children and families as they navigate the educational system. In her research, Ying evaluates preventive interventions through randomized controlled trials and explores the family processes that influence underlying developmental outcomes. Above all, she deeply values meeting children and families where they are and individualizing treatment to best support each child's unique needs.
